PUBLIC RELATIONS

The public relations emphasis provides training in one of the fastest growing areas in the communications field. It prepares students with critical skills in writing, strategic program planning and management, creative problem solving, and media relations. It can be either a highly credible terminal degree or excellent undergraduate preparation for an advanced degree.
The public relations program equips students with critical skills in writing, strategic program planning and management, and media relations. Public relations students have placed second in the national Arthur Page Society Case competition and have organized the national PRSSA conference multiple times.
Bradley Public Relations, BYU’s chapter firm of PRSSA, allows students to work with five to seven clients a semester, offering an opportunity to build and implement strategic public relations campaigns.
